I ran out of goals for a while!

A couple of years ago I strongly felt that I accomplished whatever I wanted to achieve. Frankly, I did not have really big dreams, to begin with. (Don’t want to create a startup or be Elon Musk, just an average guy!)

I was in this weird place, I did not have a clue about what I wanted to do next. This might be normal to someone else, but I always had something to really pursue and chase, always had something to obsess about.

What made this even more confusing was that I was enjoying my work too. I found all the interesting projects and smart people to work with. I might be arrogant when I say this, but it was easy for me.

So then I started doing whatever interested me without thinking about the long-term ROI on it, just did things for fun!

I traveled a lot, got really fit, dyed my hair now and then, got ear piercings, etc. I did so many random activities which scared me and even people around me. Don’t people usually get serious about life when they grow up? I was probably having a mid-life crisis in my 20s. I was really out of my comfort zone!

If you ever spar with another person in boxing, the anticipation of your opponent’s punch is beyond thrilling. You get drained just by the fear. Not kidding! I was sparring and studied all the famous boxers and understood different styles of boxing (Highly recommend Mike Tyson and Vasyl Lomachenko). It was a new world to know about and empathize with.

I could tell similar stories about the other experiences which I pursued.

After a while, I forgot about the big goals and was totally lost in this phase which was still confusing but fun. Oh yeah, random experiences cost a ton too, so I could not continue the streak for a long time, however, it was fulfilling till it lasted.

I dont have big ambitions even now. Currently I am trying to build habits around my interests and be a routine person.
